I’m coming from Los Angeles, CA and went to undergrad at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB). I obtained my bachelor’s degree in biology with an option in molecular cell biology and physiology and a minor in chemistry. I worked as a research fellow in my undergrad lab under Dr. Deborah Fraser. We focused on the role of the innate immune complement protein C1q in atherosclerosis and inflammation. After, I did a one-year biotechnology certification program which allowed me to conduct full-time research at Cedars-Sinai hospital working on differentiating iPSCs into lung endoderm and creating a reporter cell line to follow differentiation of these cells. I’m currently a first-year BBSP student in my second rotation, and I’m interested in immunology and pharmacology.
